Masquerade

Hey friends......
A nice quote...

"IF U WANT PEOPLE TO LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE, TAKE OFF THE MASK...."

MASQUERADE

After a long time I m writingthis blog today.... after lots of ups and downs I have started working again after a long time.... This mask I have created as my DT post for my the Academy of scrapbooking and Arts.

Have used a raw mask to decorate and also used materials listed below

Material used

White gesso
Lindy's magical shades
 1. Ramblin rose pink
 2.  Danny zuko's   denim
 3.  Sandra dee sepia

Finnair art alchamy waxes shades
1. Indian pink
2. Blue lagoon

Art stones

Adhesives like silicone glue and heavy body gel

Decorative materials like some die cuts, cane cloth, mulberry flowers, decorative laces

Steps I followed

1. I adhere my cane cloth to the entire mask on the very first step with my silicone glue.... here is a very quick tip for u my friends that if u want to stick any fabric to non pores surfaces u can use silicone glue for best results

2. Sticked all elements like die cuts and resin embellishments  with heavy body gel which is again a very reliable adhesive.

3 mixed different sizes of art stones with white gesso and heavy body gel for good gripping to the surface

4 also applied finnair white crackle paste for more textures

5. Painted with lindy's  magical and further I highlighted it with finnair waxes and gave  some  golden touch finally.

6. Adhere some artificial flowers for more enhancements and tada...... the mask is ready....

Hope you all have understood the steps and love the process.... do leave some love in comment section.

Love u all....

Marry Christmas....

Hey friends......

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas in advance....

Here I am back with a Christmas inspirations  for the Academy of scrapbooking and Arts......

It's a decore piece and even u can use it  as hanging ornaments.....
And to make this wonderful decore,
I have used.....
1. Embossed ivory sheet
2. Chipboard
3. Few die cuts
4. Christmas stamped and colored images
5. Crackle paste
6. White gesso
7. A Christmas related paper pack
8. Glitters
9. Lindy's magical powders
1. I have started pasting embossed ivory sheet on the chipboard
2. And cut the chipboard in shape of star

2. Applied crackle paste on the edges of the base randomly

3. Once it dries.... applied a coat of clear gesso... u can also use white gesso.  But my base was already white so I used clear gesso...

4. Played with few Lindy's magical shades on the background

5. Applied some glue on the edges again to sprinkle some glitters

6. Lets make some small emblishments to decorate this star.... and to do that I have used a frame in which I have pasted a pic of santa....and also used some stamped and coloured images of pine cones, poinsettia flowers and leaves...

7. Made these two little Angels  from the pattern papers which individually we can use as hanging ornaments.

8. I further gave some more effects with versamark ink and golden embossing powder

9. Embossed stamped images and pas6e it on santa frame and on few parts of the star

  19. Finally added the sentiment on the center part of the star.....

20. And this lovely decor is ready........ hope you all like it and can get some small inspirations from this project..... coming up with the video tutorial for the same soon..... till than see u.... wishing u a marry Christmas again in advance and all the best wishes for the coming new year..... love u all......Apexa

Creativity is nothing but experimenting,  taking risks, growing,  breaking rules,  making mistakes and still u can have fun....

And to create.......

Start wherever you are
Use whatever you have
Do whatever you can....

But if u have wonderful products what all our mostly loved products from The Elements of Craft Studio..... we can create magic....

So here I proudly present my Guest DT project with the amazing products by TECS. I m totally in love with the products and the final outputs.

A Magical vase with Antique mirror effect

To create this antique vase, I used
1. A glass vase as base
2. Cadance Mirror spray
3.Black M-seal
4. Few moulds
6. Chalk paints shades - chocolate
                                          - Baby pink
                                          - rustic-russet

Steps to follow :

1. Clean the vase with nice cleaner... can take any cleaner... can use colin, can wipe off with baby wipes,  can dip a clean cloth to vinegar and can clean it too.....

2. Spray a gentle coat of cadance mirror spray inside the vase and spread it uniformly..

3. spry a mixture of 40% vinegar 60% water immediately once u apply the mirror spray

4. take paper towel and make a ball.... dab on the vinegar water mixture spray to get really antique look of the mirror

This really amazing effects I have got with this procedure 😘😘

5. I selected few moulds to take out my Embellishments to pass on this beautiful vase. I used Mseal black to take out Embellishments from the moulds as it's very reliable and durable.

6. I arranged all the moulded figures on the vase in circular directions and even few on the base

7. it takes 25 to 30 mins. to dry and get ready to accept the paints

8.On moulded figures, initially I painted with chocolate shade of TECS chalk paints by adding a little black gesso to get a little darker tone to show the depth

9.Flowers I painted with Baby pink shade of TECS chalk paints and rest of the figures I painted with the rustic russet shade... it's a wonderful shade but I wanted a little lighter so I added little white gesso to get my required shade..... finally I highlighted the complete figures by dry brushing with white gesso and further highlighted with little silver dust powder..... and tada...... this superbly stunning vase is readying....

Here are some more glimpses to justify the beauty of this vase....

and I m sure,  I could give justice to this wonderful base i got it from our dear most Rakhi Mittal the owner of TECS.... No pic is justifying the beauty of this beautiful vase..... I m sorry for the poor photography as I couldn't show u the exact antiquing effects, mirror effects and all sort of vintage effects....🙈🙈🙈but I must say the final output is really super awesome 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

Hope you all have enjoyed the process of making this wonderful antique vase and I could inspire u a bit with the techniques... feel free to ask if u have any queries and do leave some love in comment section below.....

Love u all...... Apexa
